Sachin Sagare hails from a small village, Pandharpurhas, in central Maharashtra and has studied art from Abhinav Kala Mahavidhyalay, Pune and Dalvis Art Institute, Kolhapur, Maharashtra.
Sachin has been deeply influenced by the passionate and hardworking women like his mother and grandmother, all around him. Like in any society, these women are the cornerstone in shaping the values and culture of the society and have been justly depicted in his paintings.
His command of facial expressions, superior sense of colour combination and delicate lines seem to bring out the very best of these amazing women. The prominent aspect of his paintings is play of light and shadow across the faces of his subject and touch of black colour on the upper lip.
His paintings have been widely exhibited in art shows across western India.
